Tasha
The mysterious, timeless beauty of Middle Eastern Dancing is brought gloriously to life through the tasteful and highly entertaining abilities of Tasha. Tasha has danced throughout the tri-state area in events from Caesar's Cove Haven in the Poconos to the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.Tasha began Middle Eastern Dance training at Serena's School of Near Eastern Dance, and she has continued studying with Elena in both New York and Cairo, Egypt.
Tasha has combined her talents for the dance with her Business Management training from Monmouth College to set a new standard for professionalism in dance performance. Since making her debut, Tasha has performed at countless events, from private parties to large stage shows in the Poconos and the Atlantic City Casinos. She has delighted audiences in America and around the world.
To name a few of her numerous appearances, she has performed for standing room only crowds at The Darvish, Club Ibis, and Fazils in New York City and The Middle East Restaurant in Philadelphia. No stranger to international travel, Tasha has appeared at the El Salaam Hyatt in Cairo, Egypt, and at the Jaegerstube in Wiesbaden, Germany. Tasha has even appeared aboard the Oceanic Cruise Ship , which included teaching Middle Eastern Dance to the intrigued and interested passengers.
This varied and experienced background, combined with her education and attitude enabled Tasha to become the featured Belly Dancer at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City from 1990 to 1992. This coveted and elite position gave Tasha the opportunity to perform for tens of thousands of impressed Casino visitors. Her interaction through audience participation made her the highlight of the Taj's special events.
Tasha's current work includes the development of her stage act, combining dance with audience participation and unique props to create a distinctive presentation. She has appeared at the Raleigh Hotel in the Catskills, and performed her act for an entire summer at Caesar's Cove Haven in the Poconos.
Tasha has authored and designed the Instructional Series "Let's Belly Dance" produced and distributed by Cablevision of Monmouth. Tasha teachs belly dance to adults, continuing the tradition for future generations.
