The transition from childhood to adulthood is a significant stepping stone in a person's life. These years are marked by great physical and mental changes.These are also times of great stress. The pressures surrounding a teen increase as they make transition from Middle School to High School, from Childhood to Adulthood. This often leads to a lot stress and emotional problems.
During these crucial years of life Yoga becomes a way for teens to develop greater self confidence and inner poise with each posture the body becomes stronger and the individual becomes more confident.
As a teen grows the demands of the bodies systems increase, requiring more nutrients and energy. This leads to a rise of fatigue, Yoga helps counter act it by increasing strength and allowing relaxation to occur. While holding a posture the muscle's of the body are strengthen and the breathing and relaxation into the postures brings a sense of calmness to a teen. Yoga also helps the circulatory system become stronger and also encourages the proper distribution of blood to all areas of the body. Allowing key nutrients and hormones to reach the body evenly encouraging growth and well being in the teen.
